Erin Goldman, LCSW
PSYCHOTHERAPY SERVICES
"I use a client-centered, collaborative approach to work with those who are seeking positive change in their life. I believe that you are the expert about your experiences and your strengths; and that is what drives the therapeutic process. As a therapist, my expertise and professional training to guide that process. In my practice, therapy is an interactive process. Questioning patterns that have not been effective brings about insight and new ways of thinking. These new ways of thinking are then used to practice new ways of behaving. I utilize an integrated model of therapy including Narrative, Solution-Focused, play therapy and elements of Cognitive-Behavioral and Psychodynamic theories. In general, my practice of therapy focuses more on the present and the future than it does on the past. It focuses more on making use of what is going right, rather than emphasizing what is going wrong. It is usually short-term, and the success of therapy is largely determined by the willingness and motivation for change."
